Building Surveys
Every building we survey, whether a small home or a large office complex is initially 'footprinted' using total stations at fixed control points. The footprint is further developed into floor plans using hand laser measuring equipment. Our building surveys include all of the following:
- doors and other access openings
- windows, including sill and head heights
- solid and partition walls
- stair cases
- floor levels
- ceiling, including beam heights
- description of room and floor area
- drainage, plumbing and other sanitary fittings
Floor plans include all the major structural elements as well as precision listing of the secondary elements such
as lighting, pipe work, furniture etc.
Building elevations are also recorded in a similar way but with the addition of Photogrammetry. This surveying combination
allows for accurate detailed drawings and computer models in 2D and 3D. Hard copies of the floor plans, elevations, photography
and perspective renderings can be produced as 2D or 3D digital data.
